Catawater® HHO

Produced Water Recycling Overview

Catawater® HHO History

Catawater® was invented approximately 40 years ago by an organic chemist.

The first derivative was sold locally in small quantities primarily for agricultural uses.

Years were spent discovering additional uses for the product.

“HHO,” a derivative, was created for oil and gas applications.

In 2015, it was discovered that the HHO product could be used for produced water recycling.

Over the past five years, the product has demonstrated 100% reliability in produced water treatment.

Catawater® HHO Example:

SWD application pre/post treatment
  • 90.4% reduction in TSS
  • 99.5% reduction in TPH

Catawater® HHO Example:

SWD application pre/post treatment
  • 90.4% reduction in TSS
  • 99.5% reduction in TPH

Catawater® HHO Example:

SWD application pre/post treatment
  • 97.7% reduction in TSS
  • 96.9% reduction in TPH

Catawater® HHO Example:

Bacterial management
  • SRB and APB bug bottle bench test
  • Day 1 untreated bottle set turned 8 deep
  • Day 3 treated bottle set turned 3 deep
  • A 1700% increase in ATP was measured

Project Recaps:

  • Significant reduction in TSS and TPH lead to accretive benefits of less friction pressure, less solids disposal, less impact to injection zones, and increased skim oil recovery.

  • Treatment was done “on the fly” with no operational interruptions.

  • SRB and APB concentrations were restricted and confined.

  • Additional facility benefits were elimination of aqueous H2S, NORM waste reduction, asset sustainability, metals reduction,  etc.

The Product:

  • Catawater® HHO is a proprietary organic nano-chemical that is as safe to use as water.

  • It is incapable of harming the environment.

  • It accelerates natural biological mechanisms such as microbial electrolysis which is the process whereby microbes move electrons and cause ionic separation of molecular surface tension(s).

  • It expedites quorum sensing inhibition which blocks the communication pathways of undesirable micro-organisms (e.g. SRB/APB restriction) and promotes advantageous micro-organisms in bio-processes.

Cost Benefits

  • Given that Catawater® HHO is organic nano-technology, the cost to manufacture is much less than conventional products. Hence, the cost per treated BWE is substantially lower.

  • There is no shelf life therefore there is no loss due to waste.

  • There are no special requirements for adaptation. It is simply injected like any other chemical.

  • The product can be shipped in bulk concentrate to reduce shipping costs.

  • There are no safety or environmental risk considerations.
Summary

Catawater® HHO

In short, there is finally an organic nano-technology solution that is reliable due to its unique proprietary mechanism.

Catawater® HHO provides a new innovative approach to organic solution management.

It has demonstrated numerous advantages when compared to conventional processes.

It is much safer, costs less, and is incapable of harming the environment or the assets and personnel with which comes in contact.

It will cause a disruptive accretive paradigm shift in oil and gas industry processes over the coming years.
