How a Cell Phone Call in 1903 Might Have Gone…

“Ring…Ring…Ring…Ring”

John: “What’s up Will, I’m kind of busy?”

William: “How did you know it was me?”

John: “Caller ID, dummy.”

William: “Oh yeah, I forgot you’ve got one of those new “smartee” phones.”

John: “What’s up dude? Like I said, I’m a little busy…”

William: “Okay, you’re not going to believe this. James just texted me and said these two idiot brothers named Orville and Wilbur something, somewhere close to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina have been working on a machine that supposedly flies and today they are going to fly it for the first time. What a bunch of horse c%#p! I’m going over work to watch this circus as soon as I get off of work. I’ll send you pictures of the mayhem if you want me to when it’s all over. Orville and Wilbur…huh? Sounds like a couple of clown names, if there ever was.”

John: “Tell you what Will, send me those pictures for sure but especially get a good action shot if the damn thing actually gets off the ground. If it really does fly, I’m going call my dad and tell him to hold off on investing in that horse and buggy business to secure our future. Know what I mean?”

William “Uh, not really but okay…bye.”

You know the rest of that story, right? Of course, I’m trying to respectfully bend your imagination with the analogy of a cell phone call taking place in 1903 because we all know that cell phones weren’t even conceived of back then (right?). In any case, I hope for John’s sake he was able to talk his dad out of investing in the horse and buggy business. I would even bet that Will would eventually be asking John for a job had John’s dad somehow gotten to know Orville and Wilbur and invested in their crazy contraption instead. Know what I mean?

You see, the thing is sometimes people don’t realize that technological advancements are happening all the time. Since time began, really. Some of us wind up staying dormant, holding on too long to what we know and are comfortable with, or flat-out missing opportunities because “there’s no way that stuff works.”

Back in the early 1970’s, my father was in the beverage distribution business. One day he was approached by some people from France who had brought over a little green bottle of water with a brand name that began with the letter “P.” They offered him a very significant territorial distribution agreement, but he declined because in his mind “there’s no way in my lifetime that anyone will ever pay $0.49 for a bottle of WATER.” The people kindly gathered up their wares and simply went on until they found someone else (a visionary) who finally said yes. We all know what the bottled water industry eventually turned in to over the years, not to mention try finding a single bottle of water today for $0.49 that is not part of a case of 24 or more. By the way, I’m happy to say my father, now 87, can still remember that lesson.

Okay, so by now you’re thinking, “alright Steve, you’re about to lose me. What’s your message here?” The point I’m trying to make is this: The flying machine, the cell phone, bottled water, and more were all once crazy ideas most people probably thought didn’t stand a chance. Because the ideas just defied natural laws of physics or lack of conceptual vision and imagination or maybe, just maybe, people don’t like or adapt well to change. Personally, I pick the latter as the most likely explanation but ultimately those issues didn’t keep the technologies or products from staying the course, surviving the “Valley of Death” that consumes most innovative technologies and eventually coming to fruition. I believe the ones that do all make it is because of and by their own merit. Necessity is the mother of invention, right? These things all eventually became a necessity and are available to us now at our convenience.

Like those products, our technology, Catawater, is one of these revolutionary products. What makes it different from the ones mentioned above (other than the bottled water) is that it is a core biotechnology and is completely 100% organic, which makes it safe. It facilitates stimulation of naturally bio-driven processes to achieve similar, same, or in some cases even better results than inorganic methodology, processes, and/or chemistry, all the while providing significant cost reductions in all applications because it is organic. Catawater® works with nature, not against it, and we make nature work for us. We call it “the Synergy of Nature and Technology” for many reasons.

So, I am extending a humble invitation to you all to just take some time and explore “what” we do with Catawater products here and see if it sparks your curiosity. Maybe you know of a possible application in your industry – Oil and Gas, Wastewater or Agriculture – whereby you could potentially reduce costs or increase efficiencies or stop harming our environment. If given the chance, we will eventually prove to you our machine “flies.” Organically…

Thank you for your time. Stay safe and healthy during these troubling times and be good to one another – Steve
