Environmental stewardship is a widely used term that unfortunately, if fully fostered, bears some exponential cost considerations which are either hard to forecast or expensive to insure. That being said, the bottom line to true dedicated environmental stewardship, which perhaps for some is only an appendix item, is really simply the financial bottom line. Any meeting I’ve ever attended where P&L’s were analyzed, the conversation always got uncomfortable when the impact of unforeseen environmental incidents was realized and took a bite out of profits.

This understandably may be part of the reason why we talk a lot about environmental stewardship but typically move slowly towards solutions. I get it, but we can now change the game. General Motors says they will have an entire line (and perhaps the only line) of fully electric vehicles available by 2035.

Where We Are Headed

Why wait so long? Of course, there are infrastructure developmental issues along with perception and unfortunately politics, but there are also environmental cost considerations that must be put into the equation. Why, because they are REAL costs. To ignore them would be financially foolish and catch us off guard down the road. So, until technology exist that cuts costs of things like lithium extraction/production, air emission management, wastewater management/disposition, and other core needs required to electrify our world, we will most likely continue to kick the can down the road.

But wait! What if there was a technology that fundamentally changed industrial and agriculture process impact(s) so that these costs could be reduced to almost negligible denominators? What if there was a technology that ensured, regardless of the size and scope of an environmental misfortune, the costs associated with cleaning up the mess was 70-80% lower than what is considered today as “best practice?” What if that same technology was as safe as water? WHAT IF – WHAT IF – WHAT IF???

The Technology You Need is Here

“If Bill, Jeff and Elon want to save the world, they should put this on their radar.” – Steve Wood

Good news, friends! It’s here! THE WAIT IS OVER! The technology to end the exhaustive unproductive debate over what’s good for the environment and what’s good for the P&L has arrived. Companies like Campbell’s Soup, Exxon/Mobil, Gerdau Steel and so many others are taking advantage of this “new but not so new” technology. Farmers are experiencing the best yields of their lives and saving money at the same time. Oh, and yes, it’s as safe as water.

By the way, if Bill, Jeff and Elon want to save the world, they should put this one on their radar. Just saying.

We here at the Catawater® group of companies have left our launch pad and are headed for the moon (and maybe beyond…more on that later). Stay tuned to our story!

My wish for you is that your businesses be blessed with balanced prosperity and good fortune. These two ingredients make the world a better place for all who depend on them.

Thanks for your time!

Steve
